Renovation |
We finally moved into our little house on 11th September 2005 - it has been an “interesting” experience. The roof was falling in and the front wall of the house had been damaged by two old box trees that had been growing unchecked for at least 30 years. |
Bird box |
On the 27th February 2007 we saw the first bird enter the bird box. Inside is an infra-red camera so the pictures and video's are in black and white.

345 mile walk |
Since moving to France we have visited our friends every year around the end of July. They live in the Haute Vienne region - a journey of 620 kilometers by road taking about seven hours including refreshment and rest stops. Last autumn we decided that our next trip would be a little different. |
Dot's diary |
I will be updating this diary at least once a month. However, to give you an idea as to what we’ve been up to this year, I will start by writing a little about what’s been happening to us this year…….. |

Garden |
By the time the sale went through the wheat had been cut and we were left with a field full of ruts, stones and wheat stubble. Much to the amusement of the locals, Dave came up with an ingenious way to smooth out the field. |
Extension |
To the left of the house we have got permission to build an extension. A workshop on the ground floor and an extra bedroom upstairs. There was a building there but it was demolished years ago. |

Family history |
If your surname is Flello, hello cousin! I have a wealth of information on this very uncommon surname.
I am researching a "total descent chart" for myself, Dorothy ALWAY. Most branches have six generations: some have seven or eight and date back to the C17th. |
