Our last day of “slobbing” before we continue on our way tomorrow.
We have got several things done though – reproofed our tent; mended the silvered mat that we put down in the tent under our sleeping mats; charged up the lights on our walking poles; charged our phone batteries; repaired seams and/or damage to some of our clothing; and generally had a good slob about!
We have walked round the loch a couple of times – 2.3 miles to walk all the way round. Set to the north of the town, the loch is dominated by the ruins of Linlithgow Castle and the Church next to it. Lovely town full of independant businesses with Tesco at one end and Aldi and Sainsburys at the other.
The town’s patron saint is St Michael who is “kinde to straingers”.
Had my hair cut today by Rachel at First Impessions – great cut, thanks Rachel.
Have had a wonderfully relaxing few days thanks to our dear friends George and Lyn. Thanks both and look forward to catching up in July.
We are ready and looking forward to continuing our walk tomorrow along the Clyde Walkway towards Glasgow. We then plan to walk the West Highland Way to Fort William then Great Glen Way to Inverness, Dingwall, Bonar Bridge, Lairg, Altnaharra, Bettyhill and then along the North coast to John o’Groats.
Hopefully the weather will be kind to us.
now you have had a rest will you be increasing mileage to make up for lost time?????? ha ha . have you any idea on a finishing date for the walk.
once more best wishes to you both proud to know you.
followed davids idea and have bought a boat ?
If anything will be reducing our mileage till we’ve re-bedded our feet in !
Pleased you are still with us via the blog.
Will be interested to see the boat on our return – not sure when but sometime in May.
