Alison gave us a delicious breakfast of bacon, tomatoes, egg, square sausage and bread rolls. We popped round a while later to say goodbye to Elaine who gave us tea and cake too. Thanks Alison and Elaine. Great to see you all.
We were unable to meet up with Gary and Jackie in Knightswood as they were at work. Sorry we missed you both. We will be up this way again and will be more organized next time!
We drove out of Glasgow towards Milngavie (pronounced Mull-guy) and arrived around 1.30. We spent an hour or so walking around the town and sat drinking coffee while I wrote and then uploaded yesterday’s diary entry.
We popped in to see Hazel who made us very welcome and we stayed for a cuppa and chatted about our journey so far. It was good to catch up and nice to meet Iona too.
Our final destination for the day was a little further on at Balfron Station where we visited Jane and Ewen and their daughter Katie. We spent a pleasant evening chatting over supper then we all sat around the log burner until late. Thanks Jane, Ewan and Katie. Sorry we missed you Zoe.
